Why Melbourne

Claude Code for the Melbourne dev scene

Melbourne is arguably Australia's deepest software engineering market. The fintech corridor stretching from Cremorne down through Richmond is dense with product teams — REA Group, Carsales, Xero, MYOB, Up, AGL's digital arm, and a long tail of well-funded scale-ups — all of whom are actively rolling Claude Code into their engineering pipelines. The morning tram line on the 109 is now full of devs comparing CLAUDE.md notes.

Add the consulting heavyweights in the CBD, the data and analytics scene around Southbank, the gaming and visual-effects teams in Docklands, and the steady graduate flow from Monash and Melbourne Uni, and you have a market where every conversation about AI tooling is two steps ahead of the national average. The question Melbourne engineering leaders are asking has moved from “should we use Claude Code?” to “how do we use it safely, at scale, without breaking our review culture?”

This workshop is built for that question. We run it in Melbourne CBD — a short walk from Flinders Street and tram connections out to Richmond, Fitzroy, Carlton and South Yarra — so your team can spend the day deep in the labs and be home in time for dinner. Bring your real codebase. We'll work through it together.

Frequently asked

Questions about the Melbourne workshop

How much does the Claude Code workshop in Melbourne cost?
A seat is A$1,295 (incl. GST) and includes the full classroom day, morning tea and lunch, all materials, take-home Claude Code templates, and 30 days of post-workshop email support. Groups of 3+ from the same team pay A$995 per seat. We also run private team workshops for product squads across Cremorne, Richmond and the CBD.
What should I bring on the day?
Bring a laptop (Mac or Windows), a power cable, and any code projects you'd like to work on during the labs. We'll send you a setup guide a week beforehand so Claude Code is installed and ready before you arrive. No prior Claude experience required.
What is the refund policy?
Full refund up to 14 days before the workshop. Within 14 days we'll either transfer your seat to a later date or refund 50%. If we cancel due to low numbers you get a full refund or free transfer to another city.
Are there prerequisites for the Melbourne workshop?
Basic familiarity with a programming language and the command line is helpful, but the workshop is designed for all experience levels. We've trained everyone from REA grad devs through to staff engineers at Melbourne scale-ups.
Can we book the whole classroom for our Melbourne team?
Yes. Private team workshops are popular with Melbourne fintech and SaaS teams — we'll come to your Cremorne, Richmond, Southbank or CBD office and tailor the day around your stack. Contact us with team size and preferred date.
What support do I get after the workshop?
Every attendee gets 30 days of post-workshop email support, the workshop's reference templates and CLAUDE.md examples, access to a private Slack-style channel with other alumni, and a printed cheat sheet you can keep at your desk.
